Intensive Katja Mustonen

This workshop brings together some of the basic principles that form the core of practicing Contact Improvisation. From physical fragments, such as the sensation of weight and support in motion, dialogues of touch, and the art of making choices -together with others – will frame some of the key focuses.

We pay attention to these different approaches as we tune our bodies to encounter each other with heightened ability to listen, respond, and stay sensitive. Strengthening our understanding around the technical principles of CI is to gain more tools to dance at ease. Emphasizing our wild and fierce dancing is to manifest the heart of improvisation at the core of this practice, and build bridges towards our imaginary landscapes.
